Time is unrelenting, but art comes close to stopping it for a moment.
I love times when light illuminates a surface, illustrates a face, delineates shapes, unveils the hugeness of the sky, betrays an emotion -- humor, innocence, sadness, love, passion, and so on, or simply helps us recognize our humanity.
Time has another interesting relationship to art: while I'm in the process of making art, time is irrelevant.
I am primarily a transparent watercolorist, but I am now experimenting with oils.
